Anyone can achieve great and healthy looking skin. You just have to know what to do to get it. You can splurge on face products or be organic.
Acne, the nasty red bumps on our faces that we love to squeeze and pop. But that just increases risk of scarring. Make sure that if you have acne you are using a mild cleanser twice a day. Even if you forget to do it once, don’t give up! Or if you’d like to remove your acne in a more eco-friendly way –get some lemons! Not to make lemonade but to put on your face! Every night before you go to bed take some lemon juice and apply it to a cotton swab. Then gently rub it over your troubled areas. You can leave it on for 15 minutes or all night while you sleep, just make sure to rinse it off with lukewarm water when you’re done. By the end of the week you should be flaunting your clear and radiant skin.
If you’re looking to not just eliminate a problem, but keep your skin looking fresh all the time, then adopt a skincare routine.
Step 1: Cleanse
You always want to cleanse first to get all of the dirt and grime out of your pores! Find a gentle cleanser that is right for your skin type. If you have dry skin, then try finding a moisturizing cleanser. Or for those of you with a more of an oily complexion try to use an oil free cleanser and rinse with warm water.
Step 2: Tone
Toning is a good way to remove any oil and dirt left behind from your cleanser. A lot of people skip this step, but it’s an important one! Regular use of a toner can minimize your pores and tighten the skin. To use a toner, dab some onto a cotton ball and apply evenly in circular motions for the best results. Hello smaller pores!
Step 3: Moisturize
Keep your skin hydrated! If you have dry skin then moisturizing is one of the most important steps. The moisturizing will help prevent your skin from flaking. This is something we all want to avoid! For those of you out in the world with more of an oily skin type try to keep the moisturizer light weight.
Remember Cleanse, Tone, and Moisturize!
