Sure you do! If you don’t, you’re either dead or illiterate! Or both! We don’t care! Because that’s one less person to compete against to win a 3 day, 4 night trip to Orlando, FL.
Once there, two lucky fans will feast on butter beer and cockroach clusters, find the perfect wand at Ollivander’s, and ride the Dragon Challenge.
When front man and self-proclaimed biggest Harry Potter fan, Keith Cardin, first visited the Wizarding World in his hometown, he considered himself among the lucky. How many fans would actually get to experience the magic themselves? With J.K Rowling’s legion of followers, fans come from all over the globe. How could he bring the magic to those who couldn’t fund the trip themselves in this economy? While he couldn’t pull out $4,000 spare bucks to fly fans out for a trip he knew one group of people who would be able to make it happen. So he created a website where they could come together for a common goal. So became The International Confederation of Wizards.
“The Harry Potter fandom is made up of the coolest, most generous people.” Says Cardin, “ I
knew if I set up the International Confederation of Wizards and asked fans to donate—they would. In the few days the site has been live, the response has been tremendous and we’re getting close to our goal to send two lucky fans to Orlando.”
So who will the lucky fans be?
“Anyone who wants to be accepted to Hogwarts should have the opportunity. J.K Rowling made us feel like we were in the books, Universal has made it a real destination, and now it’s our turn to bring the fans home.”
Anyone who hasn’t visited the park is eligible to win, but one of the applicants has to be at least 18 years old and they must live local to each other and reside in the USA, Canada, the UK, or South America. Applications, in pairs, should submit a YouTube video saying why the fandom should choose to fly them to the Wizarding World. Fun, creative, and outstanding videos is what will give applicants a top spot when it comes to judging. Once applicants have made their video they can visit this site to complete their application and ask friends and family to vote for their video as the winner.
