Get Organized–There’s an App for That!

30 July 2010 One Comment

There are so many ways you can keep everything right where you need it. So why not take advantage of them?

Use Your Phone

There is no need to carry around that giant notebook. It’s a waste of space, when you could just enter the dates and assignments into your phone. So each time you need to schedule a new event or homework assignment, go straight to your phone calendar and punch it in. Under notes, make sure you prioritize it as urgent, normal, low-value, or ASAP. This way, when you look in your calendar you know what to get started on first.

In a Hurry?

You could always leave a memo or text yourself that you need to get that homework done before next week. Or even better, set an alarm that fits your schedule.

They Have an App for That

Do you have an iPhone or an iTouch? Apple provides thousands of applications to use. They even have some free ones! Recently they came out with apps like myhomework that lets you put in each class by title, location, teacher, and time. Then, when you enter the assignment you choose from your classes, add a title, select what type of assignment it is, add a due date, and include a note about directions.

Some other choices include 2Do Lite and Days Until. Days until will tell you how many days until each event or assignment you have is due.

Caveman Style

And remember, if all else fails—go old school! Agenda’s are cute and make you feel accomplished. (Make sure to check out our Back-to-School Feature, coming soon, for the best ones!)

Whether you use an agenda, a phone, or even a scrap of paper—it’s important to remind yourself of all that you need to get done.

That way when someone calls you lazy, you can whip out your organizer shake it in their face and say, “DOES THIS LOOK LIKE THE SCHEDULE OF SOMEONE WHO IS LAZY? YOU WALK THE DOG.”
