It’s been a while since we’ve had our fill of Farrah, Amber, Maci and Catelynn, the famous girls of MTV’s 16 and Pregnant and its spin-off Teen Mom.

Only two years ago these girls were just your everyday teens, dealing with normal teenage issues and yes, having sex. We all know what happens next. Boy meets girl. Boy sleeps with girl. Girl is pregnant at 16. Girl becomes huge pop cultural sensation/televised drama queen/camera whore. Last December we got a look into the lives of these four young moms, and tonight season two premieres on MTV. Though it might have been more appropriate to make us wait nine months, we get our fix of this guilty pleasure after waiting only seven.
Today’s Teen Online got a first glance at tomorrow night’s premiere episode, and we can promise you some serious juice with a side order of annoying (ahem…Amber.) Look for some serious drama in Farrah and Maci’s lives and some emotional scenes with Tyler and Catelynn.
Speaking of Catelynn, we got the chance to talk with the sweet but troubled brace face, the only mom of the four to give her daughter up for adoption. As she likes to put it she’s a, “teen mom from a distance.” For now she’s going to try and lead a normal life, and hold off on having more kids until after college. Read on for our exclusive interview:

TTO: In the premiere, it looks like there are storms ahead in your relationship with (fiancé) Tyler. What’s your relationship like right now?

Catelynn: Like any relationship, there are definitely some storms. [But] we’re really good now. We’re working through our issues and communicating better, so things are going good.

TTO: Your relationship with your mom has always been rocky. This season you move back home, how is your relationship now?

Catelynn: My relationship with my mom is pretty much the same way it has been; nothing has really changed. We’re still having our issues but we are trying to work through them.

TTO: Are you friends with Farrah, Amber or Maci?

Catelynn: I talk to Maci a lot. She’s the number one person I connect with; she and I are really close.

TTO: Do you feel that Teen Mom is an accurate portrayal of your life as a teen mother?

Catelynn: 100%. It shows everything.

TTO: What’s it like constantly being followed by cameras?

Catelynn: I really like it a lot. It helps me open up about my feelings and what I’m dealing with and it kinda lets me deal with it easier. I let them film whatever, I never make them stop. It’s real.

TTO: Do you think that current shows dealing with teen pregnancies—such as Secret Life and Teen Mom– are valuable for teens to watch?

Catelynn: I think Teen Mom is good for teens that aren’t even pregnant because it gives them a taste of what it’s like to be a teen mom. But, Secret Life doesn’t feel real to me at all. It’s all about the drama.

TTO: Do you get a lot of positive feedback from people who watch the show?

Catelynn: Yes, overall the feedback has been positive and uplifting. Sometimes I’ll even get a free coffee and one time I got a movie ticket for free. People will tell me that I’m very inspirational.

TTO: What are your goals for the future?

Catelynn: I have one semester of high school left. I really want to go to college to become a nurse so that I can work with kids and babies. Ever since giving birth, and going through that whole experience I’m more connected to children now than I ever have been.

TTO: Do you have any advice for our readers?

Catelynn: If any teen is having sex they should use protection. Having a child and being pregnant at a young age is extremely stressful at a young age.

Well said, Catelynn. Well said. For now we’ll take your word for it when we tune in tonight, July 20th on MTV at 10pm.
