This Greensboro, North Carolina band formed in 2005 has a unique yet almost nostalgic sound of the mid 90′s alternative rock.
Talented member’s John, Mikey, Meagan, Jonny, Owens and Ryan recently signed with indie label Glassnote Records who is behind the success of the single “Fall for You” by SecoundHand Serenade.
Now you may be wandering about this band’s name, well it derived from the 1993 Newbery Award winning novel “The Giver” by Lois Lowry. Lead singer Ryan Downing says “Our name is basically a metaphor. In The Giver, the main character (Jonas) lives in a black and white world. When he is chosen to take on the responsibility of the hopes, thoughts, and feelings of his entire village, he finally begins to see in color. One of the most important goals of our music is to create a connection with the listener by accurately connecting the stories and ideas contained in our music in a way that allows the listener to take and interpret the songs as their own.”
“I own the streets” a rock infused melody similar to Maroon 5 with great vocals. My favorite song off the album is “Devil in the City” classic rock melodies streaming through the song with a Fall Out Boy meets a softer side of The Used, this song is addictive! You can take a listen to them here!
Although Jonas Sees in Color is pretty one of kind, if you enjoy This Providence, Cartel, The Morning Light and Every Avenue you will be demanding JSIC come to your city!

thanks so much for spreading the word!!!!
